From Overwhelmed to Empowered Human

You may be thinking thinking moi? I'm not a leader.

If so, don't you think it's time to drop some knowledge of your life lessons to create a difference for others?

We lead for them, not ourselves.

You lead a family, relationship, team, organization, or company (and likely more than one). Regardless of where people listen and value your insight, there's an asset you might be overlooking.

It's your stress symptoms!

When Maya walked into my office last week, she had just been furloughed from her federal job. Her shoulders hunched and telling me right away I’m exhausted. She was here because she’d spent the past week self‑soothing by binge‑watching shows, obsessively scrolling, when what she really wanted to do with this time is re-evaluate her life, to feel better, and create a new possibility. And yet, she was was waking up tired and feeling more fragmented. Her neck and back hurt. She knew that from being a previous acupuncture patient, she knew she was missing information her body was telling her. Her body was being a literal pain-in-the-ass!

Maya’s story is the story of countless humans I’ve worked with who have physical pain, emotional tension, a spiritual ache. The symptoms don’t happen in a vacuum; and often mirrored into our communities. They’re the (the communal and physical) body’s way of shouting, I need a new roadmap, stat!

After the session of curious conversation and a lot of listening, she didn't need therapy (we talk about the here and now) or a spreadsheet of cognitive exercises or temporary coping strategies. She needed actual practices that are useful, reiterative and effective. Because so many of my clients are in a similar mind/body/emotional/spiritual pattern….If only there was a community container where stress could be seen, named, and transformed into a source of presence, clarity, and power.

There is! This is what I've been curating all year for you.

What You’ll Experience (A Glimpse Inside)

  1. Honest Conversation & Bold Intention‑Setting – We start with a circle of curiosity. You’ll voice the stories you tell yourself about how you “should” be, then together we set a daring intention for the afternoon—something that feels both vulnerable and exhilarating.

  2. Seasonal Energetics – Every season carries a distinct energetic fingerprint in Chinese medicine. We’ll explore the current season’s gifts, learning how its rhythm can support your own cycles of stress and renewal.

  3. Sensory Walk – Whether it’s a gentle stroll through the park across the street or a mindful practice inside, we use weather, wind and other natural sensory observations to re‑train the nervous system to trust the wisdom of your symptoms.

  4. Qigong Practice – Through Zhineng Qigong, you’ll move stuck information out of the body. The movements are effortless, adaptable, and designed to let you feel the flow of qi (information) shifting in and around you around and inside the very issue that brought you to the workshop. You learn how to move your own qi. Each session, whomever comes with physical pain no longer has the pain by the end of the 3 hours.

  5. Energy Healing Session – The final hour offers a personalized acupuncture or Hun Yuan Qi Therapy (a practitioner-led qi modality). Participants often describe the sensation as deeply restorative and clarifying.

By the end of the afternoon, you’ll leave with expanded capacity, reduced stress, and practical tools you can deploy that very evening.

“One of my stress points I brought to the workshop was resolved immediately following the class. It was almost magical!”— Katie

Humaning Insight: Stress as a Leadership Advantage

Traditional leadership training tells us to manage stress. Here, we reframe it: stress is a signal that something in the system needs attention. When you learn to listen to that signal, you become a calm leader—someone who can stay present amid turbulence and guide others toward clarity.

Think of a captain navigating stormy seas. The ship’s creaking isn’t a problem to ignore; it tells the captain where the hull is straining. By addressing the strain early, the captain prevents a catastrophic breach. Likewise, when you notice you’re tightening your chest or thinking or racing your mind, you can redirect with some simple skills, thereby cultivating capacity to remain calm, stable and model resilience for your family, partner or team.

Closing Thought

Imagine stepping into the evening—not with a to‑do list that feels like a mountain, but with a clear, grounded plan from letting go what doesn’t serve you.

The workshop isn’t a quick fix; it’s a doorway.

Are you ready to walk through it, and discover that the very symptoms you feared are actually guides pointing you toward greater power, purpose, and leadership.
