Time’s Not Waiting—Why Are You?

Out of everything I’ve shared lately, one post got the most private messages: the reality check of 4,000 weeks.

Author Ryan Holiday in a book on stoic philosophy mentions how the average American’s lifespan is about 4,000 weeks.

Let that sink in.

That’s 75 summers.

75 springs.

Maybe less. Maybe more.

But never guaranteed. And we’re not owed one day longer.

When I heard the statistic in that frame, I stopped.

Not to panic—but to let the words settle in my body.

To also reassess what actually matters.

And to ask a much deeper question than “How am I feeling?”

A question more like:

What and for whom is my life for right now—and how will I use it?

I assumed I had that part dialed in. But if I’m honest, I’ve felt a disconnect—it’s the how and who that’s been tugging at me.

If you’re reading this and you’re in your 40s, 50s, 60s, or beyond, the truth is: you’ve already lived more life than you have left.

That’s not a tragedy. That’s a clarifier. A gift. It’s a flashing neon sign that says:

Time’s up on living like you have time.

And yet, so many humans (maybe you?) are stuck waiting.
Waiting to feel better.
Waiting to feel more calm.
Waiting until the kids grow up.
Waiting until work settles.
Waiting until the symptoms stop.
Waiting until someone gives you permission.

Waiting costs you more money than you’ll invest in any program, and more importantly, time you will never recoup.

Here’s what I know from 20+ years of practice:

Your body is not holding you back.
Your symptoms are not mistakes.

The swirl around you is asking you to dig deep.

They are the exact portals into the kind of power and clarity this world desperately needs.

This isn’t just about wellness or relief—though yes, with me as your guide, you will get it.

This is about how you use your life.
Because the biggest waste of time?
Procrastinating (on your purpose).

The fact that you even can procrastinate is a kind of privilege. A luxury.
And frankly, an illusion.

We don’t have the time to pretend we don’t know what’s going on.
To keep ignoring the body’s signals.
To keep showing up like our leadership doesn’t affect everything around us.
It does.
Whether it’s your team, your family, your community, your inner world—it all counts.

On May 2, I’m co-leading a powerful half-day workshop for women navigating perimenopause and midlife.

We’ll be weaving Chinese medicine, Western medicine, ritual, Qigong, and real conversation about what this season is actually asking of you.

And later in May, my 10-month in-person program begins.
It’s not for everyone.
It’s for the women who know they don’t have time to waste.
The ones who are ready to lead, live, and love from a place that’s deeply aligned—and grounded in the wisdom of their own bodies, the earth, and the cycles of life.

This is spirit work.
This is leadership.
This is what women’s wellness was meant to be.

So the question is:
How many summers do you have left?
And what will you do with them?

Let’s talk.
