Embracing Healing: Navigating Fear and Action in Today's World

How we healing today?

We don't have a long time on this planet. Your fear with whatever is going on is in part illusory.

There is a lot to be fearful about, some serious shit is happening and it’s not going to get better. Yep, I said it. But wait…breathe.

Knowing this, if it were true and we should be acting like it is, start showing up - to the people you love and care about, the natural world and create and care for those relationships. This includes you. In your relationships, you’ll find your healing, moment to moment joy and happiness, laughter and meaning.
Here’s what I know:
1. You must participate in your healing. Passive medicine is mostly a band-aid.

2. Your health is an investment.

3. Figure out how to pay. That's your part, that's your commitment. That commitment or stretch is necessary for many so you actually do the things that will work. Payment keeps you accountable and paying attention. We need you awake in your healing.

4. If you’re skeptical about the treatment, talk to their clients, read their websites and SM on how they talk about their medicine.

5. Western medicine doesn’t have the final say on your health. It’s urgent care. True healing is found inside yourself and your connection to nature, which is the natural world and humans. Allow someone to guide you in your healing, but you are in the driver’s seat.

6. A strong mind/set is also required for healing and isn’t positive thinking. Positive thinking is icing over sh*t and has no roots, grounding. Don’t conflate the power of the mind with the ‘thoughts and prayers’ bullshit.
Words above mirror in photo:

We are born in dangerous times. Consider it an affliction, or consider it an assignment.

-Stephen Jenkinson

7. Chinese medicine is scientifically based. Just because it was created by a nonwhite culture doesn’t make it irrelevant in modern times. It has the opportunity to be more useful because it is more relevant than ever.

8. Western medicine is white, western thinking, mostly males promoting ignorance/unfounded opinions that nothing will work outside 400 year old medicine. What the f*ck do they know?

9. WM has a place. It’s not useful for every.single.condition.

10. What we’re dealing with in illnesses is unrecognized grief going waaaay back (it's connected to conquerors and conquering). Said another way, the underpinnings of most health conditions is grief. Deal with that. And dealing with it doesn't mean obliterating it. Work with it for the rest of your beautiful life.

11. Nature is science. Chinese medicine is based in nature.

12. Leadership is you participating in your life no matter your obstacles. How will you be? This is why leadership and wellness are interchangeable. There’s no hero/ine to save us. This is an invitation to step up. Learn to use your body as a wise guide.

13. Hire  a consultant or coach to help you see what’s going on. You have blindspots. Learn about your wisdom and use it so we don't have so many consultants and coaches :)

14. And, if treatment isn't working, don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. Don’t broad brush every medicine nor practitioner. You’ve not tried everything nor everyone. The person you resonate with and trust, call them...now. Why wait?

15. Symptoms are a wake up call pointing you in the direction of your power.
I can help. Or maybe I can’t. But we won't know unless you reach out. I’m here, and I will give you my honest opinion and refer you to someone if I don’t think we’re a match.
